"Faith Lessons on the Early Church"

This session will be faciltated by  .

This DVD series was filmed in Isreal and Turkey. Faith Lessons is an in-depth video tour of the buried, distant, or otherwise forgotten places where the stories of the Bible actually happend. From this cultural perspective, teacher and historian Ray Vander Laan challenges long-held Western assumptions about even the most well-known Scrupture passages. The result? You and your family will simply never read the Bible the same again.

"Science and Christianity - Just the Facts"

This session will be facilitated by John Smit

There are many science related topics that are of interest and importance to Christians. But often many of us feel they don't know enough about the facts behind a topic to have a settled opinion. No, this isn't a course about faith versus (scientific) facts. Indeed, often where that contest occurs science is actually short of facts.  Topics that may be discussed:
What is "cloning"?
What is the controversy about stem cells all about? Is it always ethically suspect?
What seems to be gradually happening to our food supply? Are genetically modified foods safe to eat?
Where do new drugs come from? Why are they so expensive?

for Youth:

"Name Above All Names"

Youth in grades 9-12 will be looking at th various names of Jesus.
Seeing how each one reveals an important aspect of who Jesus is 
and what he did for us.
 Pastor Jed leads this study.
 There is always snacks, hot chocolate and tea.

"Dive"

Youth in grades 6-8 will use the Dive curriculum,
which encourages kids to pause -
to imagine, wonder and marvel at God's story
of redemption and renewal.
